Year 5
Druscilla's Zoo Visit

As
part of our Geography studies, Year 5 visited Druscilla's Zoo near
Alfriston so that they could study some rainforest creatures.
We had a workshop on the rainforest, what it provided and the type of creatures we might find there. We were able to handle some of the creatures, too. |

happy enough to touch the snake skin - when the snake was not in it...
...but not so happy with the real thing! |

Those braver souls amongst us soon found out that snakes were not the slimy creatures we thought they were - but smooth to touch - when it was not trying to wrap itself around our arms! |

We had less of a problem with Colin - the hissing cockroach! |
